WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?
Osteopathy is a holistic medical practice that aims to combat painful symptoms of many different illnesses and treats the root causes in a sustainable manner. Every patient is seen as an individual and complex biopsychosocial system, with all of the tissues of our body forming a unity. For example, a pelvic tilt or a Leg length discrepancy can lead to problems in the cervical spine. For this reason, the whole body is thoroughly examined in every treatment and not just in the location of the discomfort. The most precise anatomical and physiological knowledge coupled with trained tactile sensitivity enables the osteopath to identify imbalances and blockages within muscles, fascia, vertebrae, organs and vessels and to treat them effectively.

The costs of osteopathic treatment are partially or fully reimbursed by most statutory and private health insurance companies. Find out in advance about the exact conditions of your health insurance company
Many health insurance companies require that, in addition to a medical referral, the therapist is a member of an association and has a recognized professional qualification. With my admission to the Association of Independent Osteopaths (VfO) and a five-year course (M.Sc.) with over 2844 hours of attendance, I meet all the requirements.
Patients who have private health insurance are billed according to the list of fees for non-medical practitioners (GebüH).
